In short

This website compares wheelsets. It has no user accounts, no forms and no advertising, sets no cookies for analytics or advertising and loads nothing from other providers, not even fonts. At most it stores your choice of language.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). With every request Cloudflare processes the data technically needed for it: IP address, time, requested address, browser and operating system. This serves to deliver the pages and to fend off attacks.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is a secure and fast website. Cloudflare processes the data as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Data may reach the USA in the process; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR).

Choice of language

When you choose a language (DE or EN), the website stores your choice for one year in the cookie “lang”. It contains only “de” or “en” and is strictly necessary for the language you asked for (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG), so it needs no consent. Without a choice, the language follows your browser setting; this setting is not stored.

Links to shops and Instagram

The website links to shops and to Instagram. Only when you follow a link does the target site receive data from you; its own privacy policy applies there. Links to shops may contain partner IDs; if you buy through them, the operator may receive a commission. Any cookies for this are set by the shop.

Contact by email

If you write an email, your address and your message are processed to answer it (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). They are deleted once the request is settled and no obligation to keep them applies.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You may object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Write to the email address above. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
